Daylight Savings Time

  • +1

Blog by Bettina Reid | March 10th, 2012

Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead an hour when you go to sleep tonight! Nothing like losing an hours sleep, but I know I'm really looking forward to the longer days.

Daylight Savings Time starts the 2nd Sunday in March and ends the 1st Sunday in November.

Did you know that Daylight Savings Time is only observed here in North America tomorrow. In Europe they won't have Daylight Savings Time until March 25th. The majority of countries around the world don't observe Daylight Savings Time in any form at all.

It is interesting to see which countries observe Daylight Savings Time and which ones don't. Some may not announce they are observing it until just before. In the southern hemisphere they observe it on completely different times of the year as their seasons are opposite to ours. To see a list of some of the countries visit the following link.
