Happy Diwali from all of us at the Bettina Reid Group!!!

I love that Diwali happens so early in the month, because I've been claiming that we have been celebrating it since November 2nd. We may have been the 1st people in all of Surrey to put up our lights, but that's ok! ;)

Every year for as long as I can remember or at least since I left home to move out on my own, I have always decorated for ...

Does the developer owning a number of units in a strata have an effect on you?

November 12th, 2012
Condo buildingI follow a number of blogs and really enjoy reading some of my colleagues blogs. I came across this one this morning from a well known realtor in Vancouver - Ian Watt. I thought it was a topic worth talking about.

Ian discusses being cautionary when purchasing in a strata where the developer owns a large number of the units. As in anything when one authority has the ability to decide the outco ...

Home Safety is more than locked doors and alarms

November 9th, 2012
House at night

Something we have been doing in our house since we bought our 1st home was to keep our front porch light on in the evening. A few neighbours have wondered why, thinking we are wasting energy. For peace of mind, I think it's worth the minimal cost of keeping our outdoor lights on all night. If it keeps away the trouble makers, why not.

If keeping them on all night is a concern, read the followi ...

South Surrey Christmas Craft Fair

Christmas crafts

This past weekend I had some time and decorated my home for Christmas..including putting up my outdoor lights and of course turning them on.

My family all tease me because we are the first ones on our street to have our lights on. That's ok, because I love it. The holiday season is way too short, I found a way to enjoy it for a little longer by starting once Halloween is over. In fact I have b ...
