Cranberries

I
t's that time of year again...fall is here and the weather has started to cool. The last of the fruits and vegetables will be harvested over the next few weeks. But this weekend is not only Thanksgiving here in Canada, but tomorrow is the 18th annual Cranberry Festival in our very own Fort Langley.

I prefer cranberries in muffins or as a dried fruit snack and have never been very fond of cranberry sauce with my turkey dinner. But I would guess there will be a lot of cranberries consumed this weekend during Thanksgiving dinner, why not get them fresh from the Cranberry Festival.

The Cranberry Festival is day full of fun for the whole family. Starting at 8:30am with a pancake breakfast. Then the rest of the festivities last all day from 10:00 am until 4:00pm, with over 70 local vendors and plenty of entertainment.

Have you been to the Cranberry Festival before? What do you liek best about it?
